The four of us were there for dinner. All dishes (fish, meat, vegetarian, starters) were tasty. Carrot soup and solyanka were only lukewarm. The main courses were a bit long in coming. Drink prices are quite high. Information on opening times and day of rest should be given in a suitable place.

The food was mostly good, the family liked it. The service didn't seem that friendly. I wanted to pay by debit card, the lady said it wasn't possible. This sounded like the key, not really friendly at first. Second, why is it not possible to pay by card? Did the reader not work? Or did someone not want to get a device there? We got no answer unless it was not possible. Nowadays, card payments should not be a problem, as it is becoming more and more and especially in the Corona era.

Very good food (my steamed salmon was buttery soft) at a good price / performance ratio. The food came very quickly, the service was nice and attentive to the typical North German way - in a positive way! 😊

There were three of us and I would like to give 3.5 stars. We were greeted and accompanied by a friendly service in a beautiful ambience. We would be happy to come back. The brawn was great, said my husband and the next time I would definitely eat it. The fish, whether cold or warm, was a bit too dry for me in parts, there is room for improvement in this area.

To put it very, very positively, the restaurant exudes a nostalgic charm. Unfortunately, the same applies to the friendliness of the service. The food was filling - more positive things could not be mentioned ... All in all, not one person from the service staff had sufficient mouth and nose coverage and in some cases it was completely missing. Addendum: It is difficult to believe that the use of the same pen by all guests, the lack of cleaning of the tables between the change of guests and the permanent, complete lack of mouth and nose protection for a service staff corresponds to the hygiene concept. Even if it did, it wouldn't make the staff any friendlier or the food tastier ....

Getting a table without a reservation, very good. The food was very good home cooking, as we hoped it would be. To recommend.

After booking in good time, we got a table in the evening. Although the restaurant was packed, we were served promptly and very friendly. Unfortunately the matjes herring was very soft, how overripe but there was no stomachache because of it.

Looking for lunch on September 19, 2020, we decided on the Meereswelle restaurant despite the reviews. First the positive. Without exception, the food was delicious! My wife ate a fish dish and I ate an Argentine rump steak, medium fried to the point! The fried potatoes were crispy and well seasoned with bacon. Our food was neither burnt, spicy or cold! Our waitress was really busy. Was always friendly, including a North German species. This species could, from the other reviews, erupt. But we didn't mind. The waiting times were neither too short nor too long. What we noticed was that the tables were unfortunately not disinfected. Maybe it was also because we arrived shortly before 2 p.m. (1:40 p.m.) and everything is disinfected after business ?! And then things will probably look different in ongoing business. Unfortunately, I couldn't find the opening times on the homepage straight away, so we were there just before the kitchen closed. Or I just didn't see it ?! Nevertheless, a restaurant with great and delicious dishes! The prices are also perfectly okay. We can't understand all the negative reviews!

Delicious fried salmon and a good crispy schnitzel. Good price-performance ratio in a very nice outdoor area with a fountain. The only point of criticism is that card payments are not accepted, not even during corona times.

We had dinner with you twice today, unfortunately we're going again tomorrow otherwise we would have come again once. Yesterday and today we had changing dishes and always to the full enthusiasm, very tasty and it makes you feel full. We love German cuisine, keep it up. We haven't eaten that good in the last 8 days of our vacation, of course there is enough in the area around pizzeria and etc ... but it wasn't so perfect for us .... Waitresses try hard and do their best and there is a positive calm in the restaurant. Top keep it up

Steak, cabbage roll and fish platter are very tasty. Service nice and efficient. The only point of criticism, the fish fillet was fried a bit too long on the skin side and therefore a bit dry.

Rating only for the restaurant, not the hotel: the tables were not disinfected or wiped between the guests. We had the fish plate with fried potatoes and a side salad. The prices are cheap, but the quality is only OK. It felt more like mass processing than "made with love". But we got a seat without a reservation, which is not possible in many other restaurants at the moment.

Very nice owner of hotel met personally. Prices against other hotels only 140 pound with Ocean view room seater and nice gòod size room. Breakfast included. Food was very nice too.

Bad service and unfriendly staff, not a good experience. Did not wanted to order a full meal but only a small portion fries, but I wasn't allowed to (only for kids or as extra).

Very nice service and delicious food for every taste. Great decor. Price / performance is justified. We enjoyed it and we were also full. Gladly again.
